A Newly Resurfaced Arena
The Green Glens indoor arena has been resurfaced and renovated ahead of this year’s competition, and it will play host to the National 4 Year Old Discovery and the Three Year Old Loose Jumping Young Irelander throughout the week. The Young Irelander Loose Jumping Qualifier takes place Thursday evening with the top 20 return the following evening for the final classification. These classes are supported by the Department of Agriculture, Food & the Marine and delivered by Horse Sport Ireland
Ponies & Young Riders Return for the First Time Since 2019
In a welcome move for the pony jumping community, organisers have brought ponies back into the mix for the first time since 2019, with a full complement of 148cm classes on offer, including Pony Young Irelander and Pony Discovery and newcomer pony classes. Young Riders are classified as those who are under the age of 25 on the 31st December 2025 in Millstreet, and this year’s programme includes a full range of classes for the country’s emerging talent, with 1m, 1.10m and 1.20m classes offered specifically for young riders.

The Young Event Horse Discovery series returns to open the show, with a qualifier for 4 and 5 year old horses taking place on Tuesday. The top six in each age category will progress to Saturday’s final in the main arena. This class is supported by the Department of Agriculture, Food & the Marine and delivered by Horse Sport Ireland
